Today, we have no users. By December 2026, our goal is to have 500,000 monthly active users.
We’re going to do this by offering the easiest way to verify someone’s identity, engage in a legal transaction agreement, and resolve any disputes.
Within this system are two distinct tools for different users:
- A tool to mediate safe transactions for collectors
- A tool to moderate group disputes and prevent repeat scammers for group moderators
Built on top of these tools are a reputation and identity network informed by transaction results. For every transaction that occurs, reputation data grows, increasing the safety of the network and making our tools more powerful.
By linking together communities across platforms and providing them tools that are useful by themselves but get better as we grow, we will attract more users.
Building Trust and Growing Through Safety

Brick-by-brick, step-by-step
We don’t intend for Oath to explode overnight. Extremely fast growth leads to problems in user experience if robust, proven systems aren’t in place. That’s why we’re going to move slowly, improve on feedback, and expand only when we’re sure that we’re ready to scale with quality.
The plan is simple. Create small, atomic networks that provide the most overlap and value with each other. Start with a niche interest group on one platform (i.e. Lego Star Wars on Facebook) and onboard all of the interest groups one-by-one. Once all the same interest groups have been onboarded on the platform, move to another (Reddit, Discord, etc.) and repeat.
Once the interest group has been onboarded, start with a new interest. Rinse and repeat.
This will be a slow, intentional path to growth that gives us time to perfect the product.
Marketing is creating useful, educational content
Our marketing should be clear, interesting, and helpful. We don’t have professional marketers on the team, we’re product builders at heart. Therefore, the best form of marketing we can do is providing radical transparency and value to our users.
This handbook, documenting our motivation and work practices is our marketing. We believe users who resonate with our mission will support our growth.
We will also create a blog where we can write useful articles for online collectors, traders, and group admins to identify, prevent, and thwart fraudsters. Furthermore, to emphasize transparency, we can write in-depth “how it works” type articles on our security/privacy features like dispute moderation, facial recognition, and personal data encryption.
Examples of these blog posts could be:
- How Oath fully encrypts your personal data
- How to prevent account take-overs
- Useful tips in identifying scammer profiles
- How to protect yourself when trading items
