Oath is an act of love to serve our family, friends, and neighbors. We’re inspired by our grandma’s chicken noodle soup, time with friends, and communities of family owned businesses.
Oath’s idea is very simple. Take the latest technology and use it to protect every day people. Adhere to strict family business values and refuse to sell out our users. Measure success by user value instead of shareholder value. And at the end, we’ll have built not just a successful business, but a legacy, and a movement.
Technology is neither good, nor evil. It is a tool. In the wrong hands it can be catastrophic. But with true intention, it can amplify the work of a few for the benefit of the many.
The members of the coastal corporate elite are not evil. They’re legal slaves to the shareholders, controlled by a system that prioritizes profits over people. Any dreams of goodwill are stamped out by the need for infinite growth and returns.
We’re doing things differently. We’re funding the business with our own savings, friends, family, and community. We’re okay with slow, meaningful growth. That means we’ll be around for a long time because we’re patient and focused on financial sustainability.
For good reason, many people distrust technology companies. That makes sense. We do too. But for those that choose to put their trust in us to protect them, we will not let you down. We will work tirelessly to save you time, money, and headache. With care and collaboration, we will grow together.
